15-Year-old Boy Was Stabbed in the Heart During a Brawl in Izmir's Karabaglar

Mehmet D. was critically wounded in the fight between two groups on 3091 Street in Bozyaka neighborhood, near the Bozyaka Covered Bazaar, on the evening of August 5. H.D., 16, was also stabbed in the hand. Both were taken to Izmir Ataturk Training and Research Hospital, where Mehmet's heart stopped but was revived by doctors before surgery. Four suspects were detained, and an investigation is ongoing.
