Mike Lindell Steps Down As Mypillow CEO to Run for Minnesota Governor

Mike Lindell has stepped down as CEO of MyPillow to focus on his campaign for Minnesota governor, a race in which he holds a lead among Republican primary voters. "Today, I've made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I'm stepping down as CEO of MyPillow so I can devote 100% of my time and energy to my campaign for Governor of Minnesota, Lindell, who founded the company in 2004, wrote on X Tuesday.

"Minnesota deserves my full attention, and that's exactly what I'm giving it. I'm all in, and I can't wait to earn your vote, he added. Lindell, a Minnesota native, announced late last year he would enter the gubernatorial race.

Last month, President Donald Trump endorsed him, calling him "one of America's greatest and most hard working Patriots. At an event for Minnesota's farmers, Lindell name-dropped Trump, telling the audience of his opponents, "I have an advantage over everyone up here. I can call up and work with the president of the United States.

Jim Furlong, who served as the company's president from 2004 to 2019, will return as CEO. Real leadership means knowing when to lead, when to trust your team, and when to put a larger calling first, Lindell said in a press release.
