Goalkeeper Niklas Landin played a key role, making 14 saves and repeatedly denying Skjern as they pushed for a comeback late in the game. The first half was tight and marked by errors and missed chances, with Aalborg only pulling ahead in the final minutes before the break.

Skjern's Axel Månsson reduced the deficit to 13-14 just before halftime, scoring off Landin's face. The high intensity led to numerous stoppages as the referees conferred. Skjern improved their scoring in the second half but never managed to level.

Marinus Munk showed his breakthrough strength, while Landin continued to save Skjern's attempts. A strike from Juri Knorr to make it 30-26 five minutes from time sealed the win. Aalborg now have six points from four matches, two more than Skjern.

At the top of the table, Ribe-Esbjerg, who had a flying start with maximum points from their first three games, drew 30-30 away at bottom side TMS Ringsted, dropping their first points of the season. Ringsted had not earned a single point before Saturday. Ribe-Esbjerg led 18-13 at halftime, but two five-goal runs turned the game around before they salvaged a point. Last season's silver medallists Skanderborg AGF beat Skive 42-38. Landin played a starring role as Aalborg beat Skjern to get back on track in the league.
