🇮🇳 IndiaCarnelian Asset Management Files With Sebi to Launch First Liquid Fund for Short-term Investors
Carnelian Asset Management has filed a draft document with Sebi to launch its first mutual fund, a liquid scheme targeting short-term investors seeking high liquidity and low-to-moderate risk. The open-ended scheme, named Carnelian Liquid Fund, will invest in debt and money-market instruments maturing within 91 days, carrying relatively low interest rate risk and moderate credit risk. The fund house received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India to launch its mutual fund business in July 2026, marking a significant milestone in the firm's growth journey and allowing it to expand its offerings to a wider base of retail investors. Market veteran Vikas Khemani, founder of Carnelian Asset Management, said that the Sebi approval would allow the firm to extend its investment capabilities to a larger investor base and participate more meaningfully in India's savings and investment ecosystem.
