Aaron Rodgers Reveals Major Plan for After Final NFL Season. Ahead of his final season, Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed his major plan after he officially retires from the NFL. Aaron Rodgers has a major plan in mind for what he'll be doing after suiting up for his final NFL season, and based on his reveal it likely won't involve football all that much.

The 42-year-old star quarterback has already achieved a Super Bowl ring and multiple NFL Most Valuable Player awards. Now the Pittsburgh Steelers veteran has another big goal to accomplish once he's done. "I'm hopefully going to be supporting my pregnant wife because we're gonna start a family, and I am not gonna be making a lot of appearances or statements, and I'm looking forward to it, Rodgers told Schein, admitting he was "looking forward to a life of quiet after 22 years in the pros and three in college.

At a June 2025 press conference, Rodgers revealed he and Brittani had been secretly married for several months, and that his wife's identity remains top secret because she wants to keep their life private." Rodgers admitted he had "a lot of conversations" with his wife before finally deciding to sign a one-year contract and return for a final NFL season to play for the Steelers. He reunites with his former head coach, Mike McCarthy, for his last dance as they're looking to get the Steelers into the NFL Playoffs.

They begin their regular season with a home opener on Sunday, Sept. 13, against the Atlanta Falcons.
