E18 Closed at Grenlandsporten After Multi-vehicle Crash

E18 toward Porsgrunn is closed at Grenlandsporten after a collision involving several vehicles, police said. Traffic is being diverted via Langangsveien. A car crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a motorhome and a passenger car, said operations leader Tom Richard Skuggedal of the Sør-Øst police district.

Police suspect the driver of the car that crossed into the oncoming lane may have been under the influence. No injuries have been reported, but those involved have been sent to the emergency room for further checks. There is significant material damage, police said.

A tow truck has been ordered, and queues are expected on the stretch. The road remains closed in the direction of Porsgrunn at Grenlandsporten.
