Traffic, Suspended Due to the Breakdown, Resumed South-north After the Salvage Operation Concluded

Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait reopened to ship traffic in both directions after a Panama-flagged bulk carrier that suffered an engine failure off Beykoz was towed to safety. The vessel, named Vela Prime, was brought to Kilyos Anchorage by the Kurtarma-11 and Kurtarma-3 tugboats, the General Directorate of Coastal Safety said. Traffic, suspended due to the breakdown, resumed south-north after the salvage operation concluded.
