Ankara, Turkey — Ilksen Ozaper, the Manisa provincial chair of the New Party, was detained in an investigation led by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into an organized crime ring and bribery. Police searched Ozaper's home, and she was sent to Ankara after processing. New Party Deputy Group Chair Murat Emir said on social media that her detention was "not a legal step but a continuation of a palace-ordered, organized political revenge project, adding, "You cannot end civilian politics with fabricated files, arrests, and staged investigations.
The probe is based on statements by suspended Usak Mayor Ozkan Yalim under effective remorse provisions, MASAK reports, and HTS records. Previously, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality chief advisor Demirhan Gozacan, his driver Anil Demir, and Sehzadeler Inc. General Manager Cem Yuzer were arrested in the case.
