Sneha Baidya, an Indian Institute of Management Lucknow Graduate, Said She Reduced Her ₹40 Lakh Education Loan to ₹17 Lakh Through Side

In a viral Instagram video, Baidya detailed that her MBA cost about ₹28 lakh, with term fees of ₹3.25 lakh each, mess charges of ₹24,000 per term, and ₹3 lakh each for miscellaneous and daily expenses. She credited earnings from a summer internship, live projects, and freelancing for lowering her loan burden, noting she took up extra work even after receiving a pre-placement offer. Her post drew reactions, including questions about repayment struggles and a comment about IBS Hyderabad.
Mint could not independently verify her claims. My earnings through my summer internship, live projects and freelancing were crucial during my MBA journey. I wanted to minimise my loan amount. Hence, even after receiving a PPO, I took up side hustles to earn extra.
