Moorhead Excited to Collaborate With Contest-winning Season Ticket Holder

Akron, Ohio — The Akron Zips unveiled a first-of-its-kind promotion Tuesday, offering one season-ticket holder the chance to serve as "offensive coordinator of the game" and script the opening drive of the team's Sept. 12 home opener against Robert Morris.
Head coach Joe Moorhead will collaborate with the contest winner, selected from current or new season-ticket holders before the Aug. 19 drawing. "I'm looking forward to collaborating with the season ticket holder who wins this contest, Moorhead said.
"This will give our fans a behind-the-scenes experience that has never been done before anywhere. Akron's athletic director, Dr. Andrew T. Goodrich, added, We're always looking for new ways to bring our fans closer to the program. The Zips finished 5-7 last season, averaging 353.5 yards and 22.3 points per game, ranking fifth and eighth in the MAC, respectively.
