Berger Paints Q1 Net Profit Up 28.6% to ₹405 Crore

Berger Paints India reported a 28.6% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹405.01 crore for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, with revenue from operations up about 12% to ₹3,583.75 crore from ₹3,200.76 crore a year earlier. The Kolkata-based company's EBITDA, excluding other income, rose 15% to ₹607.4 crore, and consolidated PBDIT margin expanded by around 40 basis points. Managing Director and CEO Abhijit Roy said demand improvement continued, enabling standalone value growth of 12.7%, outpacing volume growth due to price increases.
He noted strong growth in Automotive and Decorative segments despite disruptions from the West Asia conflict affecting crude prices and raw material costs, which moderated gross margins but were offset by financial control and efficiencies. Joint ventures delivered strong growth, while subsidiary Bolix saw flattish revenue due to seasonality and UK operations remained subdued. The company expects double-digit revenue growth to sustain, supported by full-quarter price increases, festive demand, and distribution expansion, with operating margins within guidance.
