Turkey Have Reacted to a Framework Bill Submitted to Parliament on Wednesday That Aims to Provide the Legal Basis for a New Resolution

The 12-article bill, titled "Law Proposal on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration, is expected to pass through parliament by Tuesday. AKP spokesperson Ömer Çelik said the bill's submission marked the most important stage of the two-year process, adding that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's directives shaped the process. İyi Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu criticized the bill, calling it a "second republic" and accusing its signatories of signing "Sevr, not Lausanne.

DEM Party co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan announced their support, saying they are opening a new page in Turkey's political history. HÜDA-PAR deputy Şehzade Demir said the party backed the bill despite procedural reservations. Yeniden Refah Party deputy chair Suat Kılıç called for a referendum, saying the public and lawmakers are uninformed. Interior Deputy Minister Bülent Turan defended the process, saying parliament is the nation itself.
