New 77-Meter Air Traffic Control Tower to Boost Antalya Airport Capacity

A new 77-meter air traffic control tower, targeted for completion by the end of 2026, will boost Antalya Airport's operational capacity.
Construction began on November 1, 2025, with A and B technical blocks being built simultaneously; the blocks are slated for completion by November 2026. The 11,100-square-meter facility will include 14 floors, with two support floors, one observation floor, and one operations floor. A 1,500-square-meter landscaped terrace will offer staff social and rest areas. The tower's design draws inspiration from Lycian lighthouses, reflecting Antalya's historical identity, with a form that evokes light reflections on water, shining during the day and radiating light at night.
In our new air traffic control tower, which will serve Antalya Airport's increasing passenger and aircraft traffic for many years, we have reached the 46-meter level in reinforced concrete works. We continue our work in line with the planned schedule, said a statement from the airport authorities.
