Miller Denies Abuse Claims in CNN Interview

Rep. Max Miller faced his first journalist scrutiny over abuse claims made by his ex-wife during a tense CNN interview with Jake Tapper on Tuesday. Miller, an Ohio Republican, is accused of scalding his ex-wife with hot water and physically abusing her and their daughter, who allegedly suffered a broken collarbone.

The claims, denied by Miller in a Sunday video, surfaced in court documents from a defamation case he filed against his ex-wife. Sen. Bernie Moreno echoed the accusations, saying his daughter lives in fear of Miller.

Tapper pressed Miller on his daughter's alleged statements, including "Daddy kill you" and Daddy's house is scary, while Miller argued she cannot string together such sentences at two and a half years old. Tapper noted inconsistencies in Miller's claims about her verbal abilities. Miller insisted he was investigated and found innocent, denied allegations from ex-girlfriend Stephanie Grisham, and invoked Donald Trump's 2016 resilience as he vowed to stay in the race. He also addressed syringes found in his bedroom, attributing them to testosterone replacement therapy, citing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's recent policy allowing military members to use it.
