Ryan Rickelton and Mitchell Marsh Set 148-Run Opening Stand in Sunrisers Leeds' Record Win

Harry Brook smashed a 15-ball fifty as Sunrisers Leeds set a new Hundred record with 241-2 against London Spirit, winning by 37 runs at Headingley. Ryan Rickelton hit 94 not out off 42 balls, while Mitchell Marsh contributed 76 off 37 in a 148-run opening stand. Brook's knock included five sixes and five fours, surpassing the previous best team total of 226. London Spirit slipped to 44-4 in reply before David Willey's unbeaten 83 rescued them to 204-6. The win lifts Sunrisers to fourth, keeping play-off hopes alive, while Spirit remain seventh.
Sunrisers' total beat Oval Invincibles' 226-4 from 2025, and their 21 sixes smashed the previous record of 17. Brook's fifty equalled the joint-fastest in Hundred history, and his strike rate of 305.55 ranked fourth all-time. The match saw 31 sixes and an aggregate of 445 runs, both records. Former England captain Michael Vaughan praised Brook on BBC Two, calling it a masterclass on how to strike the white ball.
