The Supreme Judicial Court Convened Virtually to Consider the Appeal
Massachusetts' highest court held a virtual hearing on an emergency appeal filed by Lindsay Clancy's lawyer after a trial judge said he would declare a mistrial in her case. Attorney Kevin Reddington filed the emergency appeal after Plymouth Superior Court Judge William Sullivan indicated he would be declaring a mistrial. The Supreme Judicial Court convened virtually to consider the appeal. Clancy is accused in the deaths of her three children in their Duxbury home in January 2023. The case has drawn national attention amid questions about her mental health and the medications she was taking.
