Man Stabs Estranged Wife 11 Times in Front of Daughter in Turkey

A woman in Turkey was stabbed 11 times in front of her daughter and relatives by her estranged husband, who was angered by a restraining order she had obtained against him. The attack occurred while the 48-year-old woman, identified as F.D., was having a picnic with her family at the Tatlıkuyu Valley Recreation Area in the Barış neighborhood of Gebze, a district in Kocaeli province. According to reports, the suspect, identified as A.D., approached the group and a quarrel broke out over the restraining order.

The argument quickly escalated, and A.D. pulled out a knife and attacked his wife. F.D. collapsed to the ground covered in blood after sustaining wounds to 11 parts of her body, while the suspect fled the scene. Bystanders alerted authorities, and medical and police teams were dispatched to the area.

F.D. was given first aid at the scene before being rushed by ambulance to Darıca Farabi Training and Research Hospital. She was reported to be in intensive care, facing surgery, with her life still in danger. Police launched a search operation to apprehend A.D., who remains at large. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
