Most War-hit Refineries Rebuilt; Crude Exports Never Halted

Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said that a significant portion of the oil refineries damaged during the war that began with US-Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28 have been rebuilt. Speaking to SHANA, the news platform of Iran's Oil Ministry, Paknejad stated that Iran's crude oil exports were never interrupted throughout the war. Regarding attacks on Kharg Island, the main oil export terminal in the Persian Gulf, Paknejad said, "This island, covering 23 to 24 square kilometers, was attacked more than 550 times, but even under bombardment, our colleagues continued loading tankers.

The Iranian minister also addressed the condition of oil and gas refineries in the south of the country following US-Israeli attacks, saying, "After such events, the rebuilding process of refineries usually begins with debris removal. This process started about 2 to 3 days after the incident, and a significant part of the rebuilding process has been completed today. Paknejad noted that the results of the reconstruction would begin to be seen within a few months and said they aim to increase the country's gas production.
