🇬🇷 Greece🇭🇷 CroatiaMedical Association Has Warned That the Risk of West Nile Virus Transmission in Greece Continues Into September, Contrary to the Assumption
The association said the risk remains active even after summer ends. Separately, authorities in Croatia have reported 10 cases of the virus detected so far this year. The warnings come as health officials in both countries urge continued vigilance against mosquito-borne infections.
The West Nile virus is primarily spread through mosquito bites and can cause severe neurological illness in some cases. Health authorities recommend using insect repellent and eliminating standing water to reduce breeding sites.
