Dabur Stands by Product Purity and Denies Misleading Claims.

The company said it is engaging with the regulator and seeking legal advice on next steps. Dabur stands by the purity and quality of its products and has never made any misleading claims, it said, adding that most labels, ads, and website content cited in the order have transitioned or are doing so. FSSAI's prohibition covers honey, apple cider vinegar, virgin coconut oil, sesame oil, cow ghee, coconut water, and coconut milk, among others.

The regulator said the claims were unverifiable and potentially misleading, not that products were unsafe. Dabur noted in a BSE filing that the notice relates only to product description interpretation and does not question quality, safety, or standards. Its shares closed at ₹408.25 on BSE, down 3.81%.

FSSAI has also issued notices to Masterchow, Lotte India, Kubera Foods, and Dia Foods. Separately, the Central Consumer Protection Authority penalized Storia Foods & Beverages and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities for similar claims.
