The Man, Later Identified As Yuriy, Folds His Hands in a Plea and Tries to Hide Behind His Vehicle Before the Drone Explodes Beside Him

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of deliberately hunting civilians with drones in the city of Kherson, citing a viral video that appears to show a Russian drone attacking a street vendor. "Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone 'safari' Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson, Zelenskyy wrote on social media, adding that such attacks happen daily. The man, later identified as Yuriy, folds his hands in a plea and tries to hide behind his vehicle before the drone explodes beside him.

Ukrainian authorities said he survived with minor injuries, though a video posted by the regional military administration chief shows Yuriy in a hospital bed describing multiple shrapnel wounds. He recounted how he tried to show the drone pilot his produce, saying, "He flew under the umbrella and saw tomatoes and eggplants. I showed him: 'Look, vegetables! but the drone still followed him.

Kherson, located within range of Russian remote-controlled drones across the Dnipro River, has seen repeated reports of such targeted attacks. Zelenskyy renewed calls for international pressure on Moscow, stressing that neighboring countries must cooperate for real security guarantees and an end to the war, which has ravaged Ukraine for over four years.
