Turkey's Health Ministry Launches Remote Patient Assessment System at Healthy Life Centers

Turkey's Health Ministry has rolled out its Remote Patient Assessment System at Healthy Life Centers, with appointment schedules for psychologists and social workers at centers in all 81 provinces set up as of July 5.

The system is now active in provinces that completed preparations. Citizens can book appointments directly through the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS) for available specialties, allowing them to consult doctors via video from anywhere without visiting a center. The initiative aims to speed up appointment processes, improve access to preventive care, and expand digital health services.

Across Turkey, 351 Healthy Life Centers offer free services across 17 units, including psychosocial support, nutrition counseling, physical activity programs, and addiction treatment. Dr. Zeynep Aydemir Güven from the Sincan 100th Year Healthy Life Center said the system eases access for those who struggle to reach facilities physically, calling it "a true equalizer" for the elderly, disabled, homebound, and rural residents. She noted that after booking via MHRS, patients receive a link by text message to join the consultation.
