Sejong University Job-plus Center Launches 2026 Semiconductor Process Practice Program

Sejong University's University Job-Plus Center is running a '2026 Semiconductor Process Practice Program' for students and young people seeking careers in the semiconductor industry. The program, part of the center's hub-type specialized initiatives, is designed to connect theoretical knowledge of semiconductor processes with hands-on practice, helping participants understand the flow of semiconductor manufacturing and related jobs. It focuses on providing field-oriented training opportunities for science and engineering students and young job seekers who have found it difficult to access real equipment and manufacturing processes.

Training begins with safety education and covers major unit processes of the semiconductor front-end, including Photo Lithography (Hole·Inductor), ICP RIE, PR Strip, Sputter, Electroplating, Cu Seed Etching, and Dicing. Participants will sequentially practice core steps such as exposure, etching, deposition, and plating, learning the principles and roles of each process and how they connect in actual device fabrication. A center official said that in the semiconductor field, understanding actual manufacturing processes is as important as theoretical knowledge, and that having students experience the processes directly can greatly help them understand the jobs involved.
