Bilal Akyıldız, a young entrepreneur in Erzincan's Tercan district, is expanding the cattle operation he took over from his father after finishing university. The family business, established in 2014 with a 70 percent grant from the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution, began with an investment of roughly 500,000 euros and now produces both meat and milk. Akyıldız, who has managed the farm for four years, said they focus on breeding stock, producing both male and female animals, and growing most of their feed on their own land.

His goal is to contribute to regional and national livestock farming through high-quality breeding animals. Emphasizing the importance of state support, he urged young people to pursue entrepreneurship rather than seeing civil service as the only option. "They shouldn't see civil service as the only solution.

Let them be entrepreneurs and follow opportunities to benefit from the support. As long as they want to produce, the state provides every kind of assistance, he said. Erzincan Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Director Alper Koçaker reported that the city has about 126,000 cattle.

He noted that Erzincan is part of both meat and milk production basins under the ministry's production planning, and that the facility evolved from a fattening operation into a combined enterprise.
