Ozon Is Now Offering Sellers the Option to Store Their Inventory in Neighboring Kazakhstan, a Move the Company Says Will Ensure Smooth

"From there we deliver orders to customers in Russia without any problems, and thanks to the fast delivery to local Ozon customers, turnover in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will also increase, the company said in a statement on Telegram. The announcement comes after Ukrainian attacks disrupted Ozon's distribution network. Last month, Ukraine targeted Ozon distribution centers, and earlier this summer it began striking facilities belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer.

In recent days, logistics centers in the Russian cities of Belgorod, Rostov-on-Don, and Ufa have been forced to close following Ukrainian strikes. Ozon has promised that delivery times will remain "still acceptable despite the longer distances. Both retailers sell military goods, which Ukraine says makes them legitimate targets. The Russian independent news site Meduza investigated the products on offer and found items including drone components, bulletproof vests, and body bags.
