Sunny Weather Will Dominate in Most Regions, But Local Showers Are Forecast in Some Areas

Turkey is set for a warmer week ahead, with temperatures expected to rise to near or slightly above seasonal norms across much of the country. Sunny weather will dominate in most regions, but local showers are forecast in some areas. According to the Turkish State Meteorological Service, rain will affect the northern Marmara region, the western Mediterranean and the inland parts of the western Black Sea tomorrow.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, showers will be largely concentrated around the Taurus Mountains and the eastern Black Sea coast. Northerly winds will remain a feature through the week, with speeds of 40 to 60 km/h expected on Tuesday and Wednesday along the southern Marmara and northern Aegean coasts. Three-day temperature forecasts: Ankara will see partly cloudy skies with a high of 33°C; Istanbul can expect showers and thunderstorms with a high of 31°C; and Izmir will be mostly clear with a high of 34°C.
