Consumers Are Urged to Stop Using the Stools Immediately and Keep Them Away From Children

Two types of toddler stools sold on Amazon have been recalled in the U.S. after reports of injuries, with more than 130,000 units affected. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced recalls this week for Woodure-branded children’s tower kitchen step stools and HARPPA’s Nordi foldable toddler towers, saying both “pose a risk of serious injury and death due to tip over, fall and entrapment hazards. The Woodure recall covers 91,000 units sold on Amazon between July 2024 and June 2026 for $60 to $100. Affected models are WD1764, WD1357, and WD1720 — plywood stools measuring 18 inches deep, 16.9 inches wide, and 34.6 inches tall, with the model number engraved on the underside of the bottom step.

Woodure has received 22 reports of instability or tip-overs, including 15 injuries involving scrapes, cuts, and bruises. The HARPPA recall affects 47,166 units sold on Harppababy.com and Amazon.com from September 2023 through June 2026 for about $130. model HANS0002, printed on a label under the platform — were sold in white, black, and blue with natural wood accents on the step, platform, and safety bars. HARPPA has received three reports of towers collapsing or tipping over, resulting in two injuries including scrapes, cuts, and bruises.
