The game, played at 1280×720, averaged just 19–20 FPS and plunged to 12 FPS while flying a helicopter over the city.

Tech journalist Omar Sohail (@omarsohail90) shared the test on Twitter: “Redditor mertbaris01 managed to get GTA 5 running on an iPhone 17 Pro Max through the XeniOS Xbox 360 Emulator, but I wouldn’t say that the experience is enjoyable. Unable to cross 20FPS and dipping down to 12FPS while exploring on the helicopter suggests that there is tons of…” The A19 Pro is said to deliver up to 69% faster performance than the A18 Pro and A17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro models also feature a vapor chamber cooling system. Yet these advancements weren’t enough to handle the emulation overhead; the device overheated severely during the test, exposing the hardware’s limits.
