After more than 20 hours of on-site investigations, it remains unclear whether bad weather or a mechanical fault caused the plane crash in Peru’s Ica region that killed seven members of two Italian families, all from the Brianza area. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed “deep condolences. The victims were identified as Elena Sala, 58; Matteo, 24; Pietro, 18; Paolo Gianturco, 59; Cristina Maria Bianco, 57; Lorenzo, 24; and Massimo Angelucci, 58. They had boarded a small plane operated by a local carrier when it crashed.”
