Measurement, Selection and Placement Center Conducted the 2026 Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam

The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) conducted the 2026 Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (2026-ALES/2). The exam was held in 395 buildings and 5,895 halls across 92 exam centers in 81 provinces. Candidates were not admitted to exam buildings after 10:00 a.m.; the test began at 10:15 and ended at 12:45. A total of 152,449 candidates applied, and the quantitative and verbal sections each contained 50 questions.

Provincial and district population directorates remained open for candidates who had lost their ID cards or whose identity documents lacked a photograph or ID number. Results will be announced on August 21 and will remain valid for five years. The scores will be used for admission to postgraduate education in Turkey, for selecting candidates for postgraduate study abroad, and for engineering completion programs for technical teachers.
