WhatsApp is testing a new feature to reduce clutter in the main chat list by automatically moving messages from banks, airlines, and large brands into a separate folder called Offers & Updates. Messages will be transferred after a set period, with WhatsApp testing delays of up to 24 hours. Users can disable the auto-transfer entirely but cannot manually adjust the timing.
The feature initially covers only large corporate accounts, excluding small businesses and individual users, though WhatsApp may later include small business messages. The feature is expected to roll out gradually to all Android and iOS users in upcoming updates.
