Güler: Justice Commission to Convene Friday to Discuss Proposal

Turkish Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, and other party representatives for their support. Tunç noted that the Justice Commission would convene on Friday at approximately 14:30-15:00 to discuss the proposal. He also highlighted that the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, established on August 5, 2025, held 18 meetings over a year, hearing from 137 individuals including academics, lawyers, and representatives of civil society organizations.

The commission's report, with broad consensus, included a key provision stating that the most critical threshold in the process is the verification by state security units that the PKK/KCK terrorist organization has laid down arms and dissolved itself. The proposal is titled "Milli Dayanışma ve Toplumsal Bütünleşmenin Güçlendirilmesine Dair Kanun Teklifi" (Law Proposal on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration).
