CIA Director John Ratcliffe proposed a trilateral meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Moscow earlier this week, according to two informed sources cited by Axios. The sources said Ratcliffe's visit also aimed to determine whether Russian intelligence chiefs could help persuade Putin to resume negotiations with Ukraine under U.S. mediation. According to Axios, American officials briefed Zelensky on Friday about Ratcliffe's talks in Moscow and the proposal for a trilateral summit.
