Forty Army Colonels Were Promoted to Brigadier General

Turkey's Supreme Military Council decisions were published in the Official Gazette with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's signature, effective August 30. Nineteen generals, six admirals, and 69 colonels were promoted. Air Force Commander General Rafet Dalkıran was appointed as the new Air Force Commander, while Navy Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu's term was extended by one year. In the Army, Major Generals Burhan Aktaş, Ertan İnaltekin, and Alparslan Kılınç were promoted to Lieutenant General, and 15 Brigadier Generals were elevated to Major General.
Forty Army colonels were promoted to Brigadier General. In the Navy, two Rear Admirals were promoted to Vice Admiral, four Rear Admirals to Rear Admiral, and 11 colonels to Rear Admiral. In the Air Force, one Lieutenant General was promoted to General, one Major General to Lieutenant General, one Brigadier General to Major General, and 18 colonels to Brigadier General.
