UK PM Burnham Reviewing Epstein Inquiry and Al Fayed Allegations

Davies-Jones said she discussed the matter with Burnham and cabinet secretary Dame Antonia Romeo upon her reappointment, and that the prime minister has agreed to meet Epstein's victims. The government is also reviewing whether alleged actions of former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed could be included. Davies-Jones, who resigned from Sir Keir Starmer's government in May over its handling of Epstein survivors, said Burnham has assured me that he will meet them now he's prime minister and will work with us to look at systemic change across the system for all victims.

BBC Newsnight understands Burnham received a document from Labour campaigners on Violence Against Women and Girls suggesting a full public enquiry into Epstein's UK activities, Al Fayed's alleged behaviour, and claims that West Ham co-owner David Sullivan preyed on women. Sullivan has called the claims false.
