Rocks Is Held in a Spanish Prison Pending Extradition

John Rocks, 37, one of Britain's most wanted fugitives, was arrested in Madrid on Saturday by Spanish National Police over alleged sexual assaults committed between 2012 and 2022. The investigation began in 2024 after UK police reported the assaults, and an international warrant was issued in February. Police initially searched for Rocks in Benidorm before evidence led them to Madrid, where a surveillance operation on a central street resulted in his arrest. He was wearing a cap and glasses to conceal his face and had been living a "nomadic life" with a concealed identity.
Rocks is held in a Spanish prison pending extradition. The arrest marks the 101st in Operation Captura, a campaign targeting UK's most wanted in Spain. Rick Jones, NCA's Deputy Director International, praised Spanish police's excellent work. Rocks was featured in a publicity campaign for the UK's most wanted fugitives, launched in May with Spain's Interior Ministry to locate 12 fugitives believed to be in Spain.
