The Team Will Assist Health Workers in Gujarat and Rajasthan States

India has deployed a national response team after 22 children died from brain inflammation caused by the Chandipura virus, the Health Ministry said. The team will assist health workers in Gujarat and Rajasthan states. According to the World Health Organization, the virus spreads during monsoon season via sandflies, mosquitoes, and ticks, and can cause fatal encephalitis.
