On July 31, Federal Judge Maria Isadora Frizao ruled in favor of the MPF, imposing the sentence, initial closed regime, loss of military office, court costs, and notification to the Defense Ministry. The ruling also recognized the rape as a crime against humanity, thus not subject to amnesty.
