Strictly Come Dancing Judge Craig Revel Horwood, 61, Has Revealed He Was Stabbed and Strip-searched During a Holiday

Speaking on the Judgemental podcast with fellow judge Anton Du Beke, he said his jewellery was ripped from his neck, leaving a burn mark, and he was slashed in the stomach with a razor blade while returning from a club around 2 a.m. After the attack, he was strip-searched by French authorities looking for drugs as he left the country. He also recounted a trip to Mombasa, Kenya, where his hotel had burned down without prior notice, and a Nile cruise where passengers fell ill from salmonella poisoning linked to off chicken. The new Strictly series airs on BBC One and iPlayer this September.

But I remember I was dancing at the Lido in Paris, and we went to Madrid for a holiday, so that ended up pretty bad. And then when I got back, I got strip-searched. I hadn’t shaved, so I did look a bit of a wreck, I’d been stabbed, I had burn marks all around my neck from where I was, like, attacked.

And then the French strip searched me down to literally nothing…. they were looking for drugs.
