Duran's Remarks Came Amid Assessments of Civilian Massacres by Israel at a Time When Hopes for Lasting Peace in Gaza Were Rising

Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said Israel's latest attacks in Gaza clearly expose the Netanyahu government's intent to prolong the conflict, urging the international community to take a more effective stance. Duran's remarks came amid assessments of civilian massacres by Israel at a time when hopes for lasting peace in Gaza were rising. He stressed that Israel's targeting of civilians and the healthcare system aims to block diplomatic processes.
"At a time when diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire and lasting peace in Gaza are promising, Israel's recent attacks targeting civilians and health infrastructure deliberately sabotage all efforts toward peace, Duran said. "These attacks, which disregard the right to life of women, children, and innocent civilians, clearly show that the Netanyahu government seeks to deepen the crisis rather than end the conflict. It is imperative for the international community to adopt a more effective and principled stance to halt these aggressive policies threatening regional stability. Duran added that Turkey, under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's leadership, will continue to stand by international law, human dignity, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, supporting all efforts for a just and lasting peace.
