Thompson Rural RCMP Received Reports That Redmond Was Last Seen Early Monday Morning in Kelsey, Man., and Was Known to Fish From the Shore

Manitoba RCMP and a private diving company are searching the Nelson River near the Kelsey Generating Station for James Redmond, a 60-year-old Alberta man believed to have drowned while fishing. Thompson Rural RCMP received reports that Redmond was last seen early Monday morning in Kelsey, Man., and was known to fish from the shore. Officers found his gear about 200 metres upstream from the generating station, where they believe he entered the river. The investigation continues.
