Mcgregor to Undergo Fifth Career Surgery After Knee Injury

Conor McGregor announced he will undergo his fifth career surgery after tearing the ACL and meniscus in his right knee during UFC 329 against Max Holloway last month.
The 38-year-old Irishman, who lasted just 69 seconds in the rematch, faces a 9-12 month recovery and hopes to return in 2027 for the final fight on his UFC contract, ideally against Holloway. "Well folks, here we go again! Surgery number 5 of my career coming up!
All things considered that is an ok number! Let's do it, WE GOT THIS! ❤️🙏, McGregor posted on Instagram.
The setback extends a layoff that began with a broken leg in 2021 against Dustin Poirier. UFC president Dana White said McGregor is "out for a year.
