The Newspaper Claimed That "The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) Did Not Share With the Public the Information About Some"

The New York Times newspaper claimed that the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) did not share with the public the information about some of Iran's recent attacks against US forces and that many US soldiers were injured in them. According to NYT's news, based on the statements of US officials, the figures announced by the Pentagon regarding the recent conflicts between the US and Iran do not match the facts. Anonymous officials claimed that before the attack in Jordan, in which 2 US soldiers died and one went missing, Iran carried out 3 more attacks on US forces in this country.

Authorities claimed that many US soldiers were injured and many US helicopters were damaged in these attacks. On the other hand, the Pentagon's statements did not include the mentioned attacks and the damage they caused. A military official also said that US Central Command (CENTCOM) is not obliged to share information about injured soldiers as long as they return to duty quickly. CENTCOM announced that 2 soldiers lost their lives and one soldier was missing in Iran's attack on the US base in Jordan on July 17. The Pentagon noted that the identities of these two soldiers were determined and the investigation into the incident was continuing.
