Monga, a Boyhood Chelsea Fan, Aims to Emulate Idol Eden Hazard, Praising the Belgian's Directness and Ball Manipulation

Jeremy Monga made his Manchester City debut in a 3-1 pre-season friendly win over a K-League XI at Seoul World Cup Stadium, coming off the bench for half an hour after his £10m move from Leicester City. The 17-year-old, who rejected Arsenal interest, said joining City was a "no-brainer" due to the club's success and pathway. Monga, a boyhood Chelsea fan, aims to emulate idol Eden Hazard, praising the Belgian's directness and ball manipulation.
He made his Premier League debut aged 15 years and 271 days in Leicester's defeat to Newcastle on 7 April, and played 30 times last season as the Foxes dropped to League One. Monga described the Championship as a "dog-eat-dog world" but remains thankful for Leicester's foundation. Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders and Divin Mubama scored within 23 minutes for City, while Monga had a goal disallowed for handball.
