Cape Verde Bus Crash Kills 22 Students
At least 22 people died Saturday when a bus carrying students veered off a road and plunged about 30 meters down a steep slope on the island of Fogo, Cape Verde, local authorities said.
The accident occurred on the road between Chã das Caldeiras and Campanas de Cima, in the northern mountainous area of São Filipe municipality, according to the local news agency Inforpress.
