Turkey Allocates 2B Lira For Needy Students' Education Aid

Turkey's Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that approximately 2 billion lira has been allocated to the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SYDV) for the first term of the 2026-2027 academic year to cover the educational needs of students from needy households.

In a written statement, Göktaş said education aid programs will continue in the new term, covering school materials, stationery, school uniforms, shoes, and winter clothing.
