Father Accidentally Kills Son While Cleaning Gun In Bitlis

The incident occurred in the Karakoyun Mezrası area of the Örenveren village in the Hizan district of Bitlis. According to information obtained, M.Ç. was cleaning his gun at home when it accidentally discharged for reasons not yet determined. The bullet struck his son E.Ç., who was sitting across from him, in the abdomen.

E.Ç., who was seriously wounded, was taken to Hizan State Hospital by health teams called to the scene. After initial treatment there, he was transferred to Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital, where he died despite all medical interventions. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
