U.S. Forces Destroy Three Iranian Tankers After Missile Attack On Navy Vessels.

U.S. Central Command forces struck three Iranian oil tankers on Saturday in response to a ballistic missile attack by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on two U.S. Navy vessels patrolling near the Strait of Hormuz. According to a U.S. military statement, an American aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer evaded the Iranian attacks, with no U.S. personnel injured. Following the Iranian strikes, the U.S. permanently disabled the IRGC tankers M/T Downy off the coast of Kharg Island and M/T Stark 1 near Jask.

U.S. forces also completely destroyed the tanker M/T Kylo. The operation was conducted to deter further aggression and protect maritime navigation in the region.
