Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş Said the Bill on the Terror-free Turkey Process Takes Into Account the Sensitivities of Families of Martyrs

Their sensitivities were directly reflected in the commission reports. Therefore, I want to emphasize that in this bill, the sensitivities of the families of martyrs and veterans were particularly observed as a fundamental principle. In an exclusive interview with TRT Haber, Göktaş described the initiative as a historic step, noting that Turkey has suffered greatly from terrorism, which has targeted families and disrupted social peace.
She emphasized that the process is not only a security achievement but also a success of national unity and solidarity. Göktaş said the ministry has held 18 commission meetings over the past year, participated in the second meeting with associations of martyrs' families and veterans, and organized "brotherhood tables" in 18 provinces to listen to their concerns. She added that families initially had questions but quickly expressed trust in President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the ministry will meet with families in Van and Ağrı tomorrow. The bill, titled Proposal on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration, was submitted today, and Göktaş stressed that the success of the Terror-Free Turkey process is a shared responsibility.
