Starting August 22, Matches Will Stream on Zee5 and Unite8 Sports Channels

Zee Entertainment has acquired exclusive broadcast and digital rights to Italy's Serie A football league, including Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, for South Asian markets over the next five years. The deal covers India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and the Maldives. Starting August 22, matches will stream on Zee5 and Unite8 Sports channels.

Bavesh Janavlekar, Chief Business Officer of Unite8 Sports, said the league, home to clubs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus, strengthens Zee's football offerings alongside Bundesliga and FIFA rights. An industry expert noted Zee aims to become football's home as Jio does for cricket, though these rights don't match cricket's value. Ajimon Francis of Brand Finance said the investment ensures continuity for subscribers.
